The field of ophthalmic technology is one of the oldest, most studied parts of medicine today; it’s also one of the most misunderstood. It’s still a relatively young field. And while its value is recognized, the fact is that most doctors today don’t use ophthalmic technology to diagnose eye disorders. Instead, they use it to treat conditions of the eye such as cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration.
