I have always loved ocean diving and have been diving at least once each year. But in the past year, I have been thinking much more seriously about diving and about my future. I feel like I am in the midst of making an important decision about who I am and what I want to do with my life. I don’t want to swim without a mask or go back to high school with no head protection.
National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology is a non-profit organization that seeks to promote high-quality technical education for high-performance divers and hyperbaric medicine. It has the goal of providing the world’s best divers training opportunities.
While I’m not an expert myself, I know that there are several places in the US and abroad that offer some of the best diving and hyperbaric medical training in the world. There are also a lot of countries with poor diving and hyperbaric medical facilities, both in the US and abroad. This is where the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology comes in.

The NBDHMT has over 100 members with offices in Florida, Massachusetts, and New York. While the membership is diverse, it’s not all guys in suits, though the organization does seem to be a bunch of men who like to dive and know a lot more about diving than we do. It’s also a board that has an emphasis on diving and hyperbaric medicine, not just diving.
The NBDHMT has a number of professional and certified members, and has had an annual membership fee for the last few years. The NBDHMT website is full of medical information on the various medical procedures you can undertake either as a member or a visitor. It also has an extensive range of articles from well-known and well-respected authors on various topics ranging from hyperbaric medicine to the various medical procedures of divers.
What’s also great is that the NBDHMT is so active. The website even has a regular podcast where members can share their experiences and advice with the rest of the world. It’s great to see that there is so much interest in diving and medical technology.
