According to the FBI, there are now more than 4,000 Russian hackers operating in the United States. They are responsible for the hack of the Democratic National Committee and several other high-level political organizations. But the FBI says it “does not believe that the Russian government directed the hack.” It’s no wonder why these hackers are so angry at the FBI and the Obama administration for being so slow to act against Russians who are behind this.
Sure there are a lot of people out there who work in the cyber world who hate the FBI and the Obama administration because they don’t do enough to catch Russian hackers. But what has happened here is the FBI did a pretty good job catching Russians who used to be part of the Russian government. And if you think that the FBI is underpaid, then you should probably ask why the FBI is so interested in hacking.
The FBI is still the only agency that deals with hacking cases. But a lot of hacking cases are filed by private actors. And the private actors are often more interested in stealing financial data than in hacking. Because the FBI is so focused on hacking, it has less time to look for other hackers to be chasing.
It’s not just the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security that have had their hacking cases filed by private entities. Even the CIA, in some cases, can file a hacking case because they’re not as invested in the case as the FBI or the Department of Defense. But the bottom line is that the government does put a lot of effort into hacking issues, but it is more interested in hacking than in other issues.
It seems like there is a lot of a disconnect here between what the government does and what they say they do. The government is one of the largest sources of cybercrime, and it is a crime that affects many people in very real ways. But there has been less focus on other issues, like “how to make your computer work with new technology” or “how to connect with the internet securely.
For example, it seems that a lot of the hacking activity is focused on the NSA. One of the reasons the government is so interested in hacking is because it affects the national security of the U.S. and the world. Because of this, it is often the government that is the first to hear about hacking, and it tends to be a pretty active participant in the hacking world. That said, the government’s involvement in hacking is often an afterthought.
For example, the U.S. government doesn’t even know what happened to the NSA, much less what they’re doing with the data. And in fact, the U.S. government doesn’t even have a complete picture of what the NSA is doing, what it is trying to do, or how it is trying to find out. That last point is the most important because it is the first time I’ve ever heard that the U.S.
government has a complete picture of what the NSA is doing and how it is trying to find out, its also one of the first times Ive heard that the U.S.
